Courage to Create

Welcome to The Mount!

Dear Parents, Students and Community,

A new era at Mt. Pleasant High School has begun! Under new leadership, led by new executive principal Dr. Ryan B. Jackson, Mt. Pleasant High School and its Tiger Team are committed to revitalizing both the culture and perception of Mt. Pleasant’s premiere high school. Our utmost goal is to go from good to great, celebrating our unique accomplishments, embracing forward-thinking instructional practices and providing the highest-quality education.

We will achieve our goals and realize our dreams through our Courage to Create mission. This mission inspires our students, staff and community to take charge of their future by creating it! Our Courage to Create mission is founded on four indelible pillars:

  1. Academics
  2. Arts
  3. Athletics
  4. Ambition

These pillars ensure our students and staff are held to high academic standards, have creative choice, embrace extracurricular opportunities and reach for new, unprecedented heights. It will take the form of more Advanced Placement courses and Project-Based Learning opportunities, an enriched, full-scale arts program, high-caliber athletics and a college or career mindset that prepares students for a rigorous post-secondary education and cutting-edge workforce demands.

Our goal is simple yet ambitious: Mt. Pleasant High School will be an internationally recognized academic institution, known for its innovation, inspiration and dedication.

Welcome to The Mount!

MPHS Sports Physicals 2017-18

MPHS athletes have two opportunities to complete their required sports physical for the 2017-2018 school year.

Option 1:
Well child physical completed at school April 26-27. There is a cost of $20 for this option. However, it is a more thorough physical than what is normally given for athletes.

Option 2:
Annual sports physical completed at the Mid-TN Bone and Joint clinic on May 1 (boys) and May 8 (girls). This physical is done at no cost but is not nearly as comprehensive.

Paperwork for both physicals is available at the school. Option 1 paperwork must be returned to the school this week. Option 2 paperwork will be carried with the student on the date of the physical.
